Gotta Get It Done

Well...there's no time for procrastination now! Adam and I are in the thick of it. We just finished packing all the bags for this adventure. Got the kids bags packed for my moms and got our bags packed for UCLA. I sure hope we remembered everything. It's hard to think. It's at the point where we just need to 'let it go' and know we did our best to prepare.

So today Dr. Sales told me while I was at the ortho, that I would probably be wired for 2 to 3 months instead of the 3-4 weeks that I was told at UCLA. Dr. Sales doesn't like the splint, and so he wants me to be immobile the entire bone healing time. Seriously? I was kind of planning on eating soft foods by early May, but it looks like only liquid until June. I have NO time to really process that new information, but I am certain that if I had the time, I would be doing some serious pouting! :(

So anyway...I am started to worry about everything a bit today...mostly about the kids and being away from them and then I came across this...

"If you will humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, in his good time we will lift you up. Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you."
1 Peter 5"6-7 TLB

It made me think of that Audio A and the song we sing as a family...."I get down, he lifts me up"
God is going to be with me there on Wed as much as he is with me now. He will have his loving arms around my kids and husband too. What do I need to fear with the Lord on my side? So, I am going to try to "let him have my worries and cares"... and trust in HIM and his provision. He will lift me up.

So no more worrying here...just more packing!
