( I had to blog this really really quick before I forgot about it!)

So, have you ever really stopped and thought about the things that fly out of your mouth as a mom?
My dad has been gone almost ten years and I swear you would have thought it was him in the room when I said this one...

"Oh, come on mom," whined Sydney
"No, Sydney! This is NOT NEGOTIABLE!
This is not the U.N."

Not the U.N.? Where did that come from? Why in the heck would I think Sydney could possibly relate my position to the United Nations? Der! You should have seen the puzzled look on her face. She so did not understand what I just said AT ALL, but my tone made it clear that I was done discussing the matter.

I swear, my dad sure did rub off on me growing up. Only he would be the reason why I would use international relations to make a point to my 8 year old daughter!
