Salt Dough Ornaments

Since I was home for the weekend, I decided that it would be fun to make Salt Dough Ornaments with Sydney. I should have been resting, or addressing Christmas Cards, but I just didn't feel like it. Sydney was home for just a bit on Saturday between coming from the Mission Market and heading off to the Melodrama. (Bah-Humg! Its tradition to go to the Melodrama, and I am bummed Adam and I didn't get to go because of my eye. Darn infection!) So anyhow, we used the time to roll and bake the ornaments. This was Sydney's first time making the ornaments and she had a blast. Thinking it would be a fun thing to do each year!

Here is Syd mixing the flour and salt.

Ah, the dough ball.
Our kid tossed that ball in the air like a hundred times.
I didn't care. I was just hoping she
wouldn't drop it on the carpet. :)
Rolling out the dough

Sydney had a great time cutting out the ornaments. I should have snapped a picture a little later. You should have seen the flour mess everywhere.
Fresh baked ornaments!

The painting happened today. Even Adam jumped in on the fun.
(Can you spot his guitar made out of a snowman's body?)
Don't you love our painted goodies?
Which one will you get?
