A day of reading

Jack and I spent the day reading as the rain fell down outside. Its been raining all week and with this asthma/bronchitis thing going on the only outings we have had were to pick of Sissy. Today I found Jack sucking on a toothbrush (how did he reach those?) and sitting on the sofa reading our newest books to arrive. Yup! We got 'em. My blog books arrived. I am so happy and relieved to have my last years worth of blogging off the world wide web and into our hands in paper and binding form. I really wanted something tangible all of us to reach and grab and read. I love flipping through old photo albums of my dad and mom and I have always wished I had their memories to go with them. This sort of accomplishes that. Seeing Jack on the sofa with the book made me so incredibly happy.

Volume one and two. I couldn't fit it all in one book.
And here is the book I read yesterday. It was an easy read, begun and ended in one day. That's what happens when the rain pours down and you must rest!
It was good, but not excellent. It made me think though.
I can't comment yet because what did hit me, hit me powerfully, and I don't know what I feel or what to say about them yet.
More to come, I guess.
Anyhow...
I liked how Jack and I spent our time today and yesterday.
I hope he will find the joy in reading as I and Sydney do...
You know, in thinking about that, my dad used to read everyday.
Everyday.
I had forgotten about that....
I am glad I remembered
