Well, we did it!
Adam, Sydney and I volunteered with
The United Way this weekend
and earned out tickets to Disneyland!
The service project we decided to help with was a super sweet one!
We made Valentines for Shut in Senior Citizens.
It was really a TON OF FUN!

Here are Adam and Sydney as we arrived to volunteer

Each of us had to create 10 Valentines for the seniors. They will be delivered with the meals they
receive from the Food Bank and the United Way. For some seniors this is the only personal contact they will get for the week, so we were glad to help create a card for them and spread some Holiday cheer.

We had to be creative and decorate the fronts and insides as well as the envelope. Didn't we do a great job? Then we were taught how to make paper flowers. We created bunches of flowers for to give to the Seniors too. It was fun.

Turns out I can make a ton of flowers really really fast. Must be my
Mexican background. My mom knows how to make these too, she used to make them for family and friends when they got married. She decorated cars with them. Total East LA thing to do. But I really think its in the blood.
My mom as excited to know I was good at it too!
So, a really fun family friendly way to
spend three hours helping the United Way.
And we earned our way into Disneyland!
Its a total WIN WIN!
Love it!
Ps. We are thinking of going in Oct...
sounds like a good month to go!
