Out with the old

We got a new swing set. Inherited really. So its new to us! Its a bigger bolder model of our older one but a bunch more sturdy. Our old swing set is only two years old but Adam and I were quickly noticing that when the big kids (Sydney and her friends) were climbing up and on it the whole set would start to teeter from side to side. We reinforced but the big kids are just too big. And they are getting bigger everyday. So, today was the day. Adam starting taking down the old swing set to clear away for the new one in the garage.

I will miss our little swing set. Above is a picture of it this afternoon before the demolition began. It was cute huh? But we are giving it to my brother Jim, so its sticking around. His three little kids are all 3 and under so they won't outgrow it too soon.

I think it may be month or more before we get the new one up. Hoping by Jacks Birthday we'll have it all together. With Adams rough work schedule, if he can put an hour or two a weekend, we will be thrilled. I'll post pics when its up!
