Mothers Day

Mother's Day was spent in Las Vegas swimming and enjoying a relaxing day. We had a wonderful lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe. The kids really enjoyed the decor' and I was surprised with a dessert and a "mother's day song" by the staff. Fun!
After lunch we went to the CSI experience at the MGM Grand Hotel. That 'experience' is pretty pricey, so we just let the girls do it and Adam, Jack and I just shopped and people watched while we waited. Turns out that CSI gig is really cool. Sydney and Sadie got to solve a murder mystery just like they do on the show. Awesome!

That evening we went to the Tournament of Kings at our Hotel. This is a dinner and show just like Medieval Times in LA. We got to eat chicken with our hands and watch jousting and fencing and all sorts of medieval entertainment. We had such a great time cheering for our king. The girls really got into it! Such fun. And Jack loved every moment of it. He sat mesmerized by the horses and singing and cheering. It was a great way to end Mother's Day.

Don't you love their sun kissed faces?

Soon it was time to pack up and head home from our trip. We spent Monday on the road home. But before we left we did make one final detour to Circus Circus to play some more carnival games! We all won a few more stuffed animals but Sydney blew us away when she picked up a dart and just lobbed it right to the center of a star. She won the biggest black stuffed horse you've ever seen. It's as big as she is! Seriously. It took up the seat next to her on the way home.
You should have seen the high five-ing and jumping up and down when she won that thing. Another favorite memory of mine!
It was a wonderful get away. Too too quick. We didn't see a ton of stuff. Adam is ready to go back again. But next time he only wants to go with me.
Ooo La La indeed!
