We are on a Mission

La Purisima Misson, Lompoc CaWe were finally assigned our Mission for Sydney's 4th grade Mission project.

The luck of the draw gave Sydney our nearby La Purisima Mission.'

Along with her report (a big kid report I might add, multiple pages, biblio etc) we need to build part of the mission. Luckily I was forward thinking in the fall and purchased all the supplies on sale in the Fall. With 120 kids in Sydney's school alone building missions right now, those little plastic trees and bells are starting to get hard to come by
Anyhow, I am fully read up on the La Purisima Mission and ready to assist Sydney in any way as she starts her "research". Funny how the parents need to know everything about the topic too.
I spent 2 hours reading websites and books about La Purisima last night. I might consider becoming a docent I learned so much about the padres' and the Chumash and the earthquakes.
