The Beach Boys

Last night we came into some comp tickets for the SB County Fair. Now truth be told Adam and I are not Fair folks. We just don't get into it that much. I grew up going to the LA county fair and this little Santa Barbara County fair here in town is just so tiny and itty bitty that when I went in 2003 I was disapponted. I just have never been back.
Anyhow, Sydney found out that the Beach Boys were playing at the fair last night for free and begged us to go. I mean BEGGED us.
We had just picked up Jack from Nana's after going to PCPA and we were in one of those rare moments where it didn't seem like that big of a deal to grab a jacket and go for a few hours. Everyone was in a good mood.
And being free and all made it seem that much better.
So we went and you know what?
We all had a great time.
Parking was a zoo, but we scored by parking in a lot with safe street crossing and lit paths. We grabbed some fair food, some ride tickets and basically had a grand time. Food was overpriced but delicious. And Sydney had just the best times on the rides. I was informed that next time she must must must get a wristband (next time? Ugh!). Even Jack enjoyed two little itty bitty kid rides.
It was a good time for the three hours we were there. Oh and lets not forget the Beach Boys. Although we didn't go into the Main Grand Stand area we could see and hear the Beach Boys fine from the kiddie play land area. They sounded great. Super harmonies. I heard that one of the old timers in the band was lip syncing, Mike somebody, but we didn't care, we still grooved and danced as we waited in line for rides.
Super fun evening. Glad we went!

Adam first time on the Super Slide. I loved this slide when I was kid. Nothing better than zooming down on your burlap sack. Good times!
