Sydney should find our her team by early Nov and the practices should start just as cheer is ending. Her first game in Dec 4th.

My mom was so so wonderful and ordered our gal a portable hoop from Walmart. It should be delivered this week. Our plan was to put in near the curb and let Syd practice in the street. Our street is so very safe. But our home owners association nixed that right away (good thing I called!) Having it on our driveway was ok, but that doesn't work for us as we park our cars on the drive. So, the only thing we could think of was to build a Basketball Court in our backyard.
WHAT?
Well, here's the deal. We have a large yard. We don't us all of it. The space between Jacks Club house that A-pa built and the trampoline was not utilized at all and the grass died constantly from the sun. So we decided it was the safest place for Sydney to practice (not on the street) and the easiest place for her to fetch her ball (we can get behind our fence in a breeze way that is there) and the 'court' would serve other purposes (like a stage to dance on or a place for Jack to drive all his millions of cars!) So it was decided. And Adam was off to Home Depot!
Here are some pictures of Adam building the 12 foot by 16 foot court. Not regulation size but it will provide enough room for her to practice dribbling and shooting.
