Santa Party

We're coming to the end of my years on Fellowship. That statement makes me sad and giddy at the same time. I love my place in our church serving on Fellowship, but being the Elder has once again taught me that I am most comfortable (and efficient) being an Indiana and not the Chief. But being uncomfortable and challenged is a good thing. But I know that it is time for me to step down from Fellowship and being the Elder. Recently I have found myself staying in a perpetual stressed state all at the time at events. I am so so so excited to attend a church event and not be on the spot to solve a hiccup for someone.

Anyhow, its been 8 seasons of Fellowship. I have missed 10 events. I went back and checked. We averaged 8 events a year, some like this year, had more. That means I have worked approx 55 to 60 events. THAT'S A LOT!

I am ready for a break, but I will miss the joy and friendships on this committee. But its time to try something new. Did I ever mention that I was asked and accepted the position of Membership Elder for a three year term. So, I am just off to new and different things!
Anyhow, as I gear up for the Thanksgiving Dinner next week, I am know I will be thankful for my time cooking and planning for this church. Its been everything; joyful, tiring, exasperating, invigorating, everything. I will miss it, but its time. Here is a picture of the invite for my last event. The Christmas Family Potluck. Turned out cute don't you think?
