I guess lets start with the car. So I got my Highlander back. Finally! I was supposed to get it back around the 17th or so, but things got goofy with my bumper and the car wasn't ready until Friday evening the 19th. But funny thing is,is that when we picked it up a light sensored right away on the way home that was signaling a problem with the tire pressure. We took it back and they straightened it out, or so we thought. The light went off again on Sunday when I drove the car, so back to the shop the car went on Monday the 22nd, for that and an assortment of other goodies that were wrong. Let me give you a list. The tire pressure sensor was broken, a tail light was not hooked up, there was a big scrape in the new mud flap, missing rubber molding on the door, over paint spray on the rear tire racks, missing bolts and screws that attach the rear bumper so the bumper was wiggling and sagging. No kidding. They had my car from Oct 30 and there was seriously that many things wrong with it when they returned it to me 'fixed'. The biggest thing was all these broken things weren't found in one visit. I have had to take the car back 4 times since 'getting' it back originally. Once they had to give me another rent a car for two days as they fixed the sensors and repainted. Oy. Anyhow, I think its all fixed now. But we'll see. The guy from Home Motors was just here tonight attaching those little caps on that go on your tire nozzle thingys. All of mine were missing. Seriously? Let's cross our fingers that we are good to go now.
Oh, btw, my car is leaking oil now. Goody. I take it to the mechanic on Thursday.

The Thanksgiving Dinner was awesome. It turned out really nice and I have had a lot of great feedback. The highlight was when the power when out. Yup. 200 people coming for dinner and the power went out 50 minutes before it starts. Classic. So we ate by candlelight, and generator flood lights. It was awesome. No one freaked out and it was memorable. When the lights went on a couple of hours later, everyone wanted the ambiance back. Go figure!
*******************************************************Cooking with Jack has been a fun little highlight the last couple of weeks. He is always eager to help and I enjoy teaching him as I cook. He made his own PB&J's and helped me with a pot roast. I cut and loaded the crock pot. Love my little chef.
