Happy

Yesterday my Mom and I took a moment to be normal for a few hours. We met up in the late morning and visited the Altrusa's Festival of Trees. It is a neat display of Christmas Trees that you can win by purchasing tickets and picking the tree you hope to win. They are wonderful and Jack and Nana had a great time wondering around ooooing and ahhhing over the lovelies and picking their favorites. Afterwards, Nana, Jack and I went to Japanese food and then decided to stop at Pier 1 Imports next door.

That place is a wonderful dangerous place. So many fun little goodies that are sooo tempting to get. Jack did great walking around this store full of plates and glass and Christmas Decorations. What a little trooper. In the end, my Mom and I fell in love with these. And for $5.00 a plate, they were a steal! Aren't they the cutest?!?

We decided to purchase three. Don't they look perfect on my birdie wall in the kitchen?

And look what we found in the kitchen dept. This little stack of cup/mugs are just perfect for us. They are bright and cheery and are the perfect size for a quick bowl of cereal or soup. Or a large cup of decaf for me! They are a so super cute and they instantly made Mom and I happy.

Sometimes its the little things like window shopping with your Mom that make you tresure life.
Anyhow, my Mom treated me to a sweet early birthday gift.
I adore them.
