Good Old Fashioned Hard Work!
This afternoon two things came to my attention:
This afternoon two things came to my attention: 1st: Sydney can not appreciate all the perks and privileges she is blessed with until she understands what a little hard work is...
2nd: She has to learn to work a lawn mower and take care of a yard.
So! This afternoon Sydney got a one on one lesson with me and Adam all about the lawn mower and yard care! She learned about saftey, care of the mower, care of the lawn and "elbow grease".
Sydney listened well, applied her knowledge and gave it her best shot! And although I did most of the pushing and guiding (its waaaayyy to much yard for a little gal) and even though she coundn't hear well due to the protective earphones, she listened to directions and pushed with all her might! Great job Sydney!
Right now I asked Sydney how she feels now that she is all done and she can look out on her beautiful yard. She said " I think it looks pretty and perfect". I agree!
P.s. Two days later I over heard Sydney bragging to her friends that she knows how to mow the lawn! Too FUNNY! And I over heard Maddie complain, "that's not fair, I want to mow the lawn!"
