So, Adam and I are still so super tired but I just could not end this day without telling about American Idol!OH MY GOSH!
So super AWESOME!! Adam and I just had the best time yesterday.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU MOM AND ABEL FOR WATCHING THE KIDS!!!!
It was so great to get an email a couple of days ago telling us that we got tickets and have everything just work out beautifully. So Adam and I got up at 4:45 a.m. and we dropped off the kids at my moms at 6 am and got to LA by 945 am. Adam and I made it in line by 1015 and had a pretty good spot. It was sunny but not overwhelming hot so standing in line didn't kill us, but we were still thanking God for the breeze. After waiting until 130 or so ( I KNOW so crazy huh?) we led inside and seated in the theater. OH MY GOSH! It was so AWESOME! Adam and I got 3rd row seats for the dress rehearsal. Incredible. We could see everything. All the cameras and sets and musicians and orchestra and stars! So cool!
The dress rehearsal went on for a couple of hours, and then the crew surprised us with tickets to STAY and see the live taping of the show. WHOO HOO.
It really was so neat to have both experiences. The dress rehearsal only allowed about 400 people, pretty small and intimate. When we went back in for the real deal the whole stinkin' theater was filled with 7000 screaming people. The energy was amazing.
We love the two finalists. They were so good. But what I love best was having an amazing day with my husband, a whole date day with him. I got to watch my husband as he was blown away by the whole experience. That was so fun! AND it was FREE!
So very cool.
Thanks again Mom for spending the day with Sydney and Jack! We can't thank you enough!
