Just a great day...

One of the things I love most about summer is the freedom to do the things I usually don't get to do with the kids. Like going to the movies. The movies are very expensive and to be honest our little family does not get there very often. The drive in we get to, but that is because we can bring our own snack and they only charge a buck for Sydney.
Well, in the summer our local Edwards shows FREE movies on Tuesdays and Wed all summer long. They are G or PG and totally kid friendly. What I dig is that Jack can come too and babble and talk or even cry and it doesn't matter because there are like a billion little kids in there!
So today I took Jack and Sydney and her friend Joselynn to see this little flick... It is super cute and the morning couldn't have gone any better. The girls watched the movie from the front row (remember doing that as a kid?) and Jack munched on a yogurt on my lap during the previews and napped as soon as the lights went out. He woke up about 10 minutes before the end! Perfect.
After lunch with the kids at Mc'D's and a long time at the playground we took Syd's buddy home. Sydney and I got some chores done as Jack napped (that way we could have a balance between fun and obligations) and then we headed outside for some fun in the sun.
Here is Jacks new water table he rec'd for his birthday. He had a blast getting all wet. He really looks like he's having fun huh!?!?

After drying off this kiddo and making dinner for the family, I headed out to Mom's Night Out with my Mom's Club for a dinner and end of term party at this yummy place!
The company was wonderful, the food was overpriced but tasted good and I had fun with just the gals. Of course we talked about our kids but it was a treat to not have to pick up food off the floor after the meal!
All in all, just a great day!
