Our little girl in 2006! So proud to be a Muttin Bustin at the Elks Rodeo, June 2006. Sydney was in Kindergarten this year. She also competed in the Muttin Bustin the next year as well! She road that sheep like a champ and took second place both years! Yee Haw!
Today I was able to attend the mini-rodeo with Sydney's third grade class! Yee Haw! The Rodeo comes into town every year the first weekend of June. Its an exciting time around here! This year we actually have the professional bull riders coming and let me tell you, those bulls are so scary! It is tradition for the third graders in the valley to go to the rodeo on the first day. Its a mini rodeo and the kids just love it. There were 6000 kids there today! Yikes!I snapped some pics of our fun time. This is the only time of the year that I feel a little bit country! Ha! Enjoy.

That sounds like such a fun field trip! Don't you live in California? Where are you that a rodeo comes to town?
Paige, we live on the central coast of California. About half way between LA and SF. Right near Pismo Beach (if you know where that is)
About an hour north of Santa Barbara and about 3 hours south of Carmel/Big Sur.
Did you know you are right near Jen. She is in Lynnwood. And she goes to church at Greenlake
