La Purisima Mission

Did you know the missions close at 4? Neither did I. I guess its because of the state budget, but they are minimizing the hours that the missions are open. So call ahead if your going. We got to the Lompoc mission just about 20 minutes before closing on Tues. Eating lunch and pickin those berries took a long time! But you know what? I was pooped. So I was secretly kinda glad that the mission was closing. I was really really secretly glad that the gift shop was already closed! YAY! The stars were shining on me and my wallet!

The La Purisima Mission is really spread out. Not at all like the Santa Ines Mission. Its kinda like a big fort. With a bunch of cows and a bulls in the middle. It was still stinkin hot and Jack was not a happy boy, so we just sat on a bench and waited while the kids ran around and investigated for the few minutes they had...
