Mission Santa Ines

Ahh, what do you think of when I say fourth grade? Well, if your a student in the California school system, then you are sure to think California history! 4th grade is the year of the traditional mission report. I personally love it. And since we have three missions with in 30 minutes I thought it would be great to give Bobby and Sydney a sneak peak into their future. We decided to start at the mission in Santa Ynez. I have never been there. It really is a beautiful mission.
The kids are really interested in the missions. There wasn't any pouting about going there. *(except for Sydney in the gift shop, but that's another blog entry) They enjoyed the architecture, the display and even the cemetery. Amazing that this mission was built in 1804! Incredible!
Here are the kiddos when we arrived!
A quick picture at the beginning of the tour...
Love the way Jack is munching on his monster doll. Too cute.
Here are the kids in front of a statue of Holy mother.
Jack is now hiding behind the monster doll. Funny
Uh oh! Did you break the headstone? No, don't worry, Bobby didn't. But I think this picture is classic the way Jack is staring at Bobby as he stares at the cross with a piece of it in his hands...Funny

One successful mission trip!
