Stomach Flu

So Wed I took Jack to get his 15 month shots. By Wed afternoon he was declining food and felt hot. By evening he was full blown sick with tummy troubles and loosey goosey potty. Things were pretty bad (and messy!).
By Thursday morning Jack was happy again and the vomiting had stopped but he was still having potty problems.
Then Adam came home sick. And Jack got worse. Then I called my mom and found out she was sick. And Kim called and said that both her kids were sick. Uh-Oh. It wasn't the shots after all.
It was the flu.

And let me tell you, that darn flu, it infected EVERYONE. Ok, well everyone BUT Sydney. Super Sydney. Super Sydney with a super strong immune system is seems. Because our home seems to be the "hub" of the virus. You see everyone who was in my home on Tuesday got sick. But here's the kicker, I had shampooed the carpets and Pine sol the floors on Monday night (late) because I had my friend Laura and her son William coming by on Tuesday morning and I needed to deep clean. But my family got sick, my mom who stopped by on Tuesday got sick, Maddie, Sydney's friend got it and Laura and William got it. ICK! Too much huh?

So, Adam and I were over it in a day. My mom was tired for a few extra days but feeling better. I think Ben, Maddie and Kim are just starting to get over it. Laura and William are better. BUT the one fella who is not better is Jack. No more tummy sick but everything he eats runs right thru him. Poor guy. He's hydrated because he's on Pedialite. He's been eating the BRAT diet. And he alternates between whiny and happy. He plays but then he explodes. Poor Guy.

We have bleached everything we can, Lysol'd the rest. I have shampooed the carpet two more times due to accidents. And washed the sheets and stuffed animals in the hottest water around.
He is basically sleeping on his rubber mattress because of accidents. I called the doc but just continue with the Brat diet or take him to emergency. Not quite an emergency, but we will get to the doctor tomorrow (again).

Anyway, blah blah blah. Just keep Jack in your prayers. Darn Flu.
Oh, and wash your hands. For a long time. Longer than you think.
You don't want this flu.
