Cheer Expo

Ahhh. The end is near. I can smell my freedom.
Its coming.
Cheer is almost over! Ha. Now, now don't get me wrong. I love Cheer. SYDNEY LOVES CHEER! And it has brought lots of joy and dancing to my home. But I am tired. And to be completely honest, I mean really really honest, I haven't done that much with cheer this year. My friend Holly, Sydney's team coach, was at EVERY practice. Every game. And with carpooling to practice, I was lucky enough to have Kim taking to cheer practice and Adam picking up (worked out so great because of dinner and Jack's afternoon nap). And Adam and I even rotated who went to the games because of Jack. But I just think mentally I am tired. Tired of rushing through homework for cheer practice 3 or more times a week. Tired of confirming carpools, and tired of asking Sydney if her cheer bag is packed or where her uniform was. Or if she had her pom poms. I know, whine whine whine, but we are in month 4 and I am tired. But Sydney. Tired? Not a chance.

Cheer is in my BLOOD Mom!
Seriously, she actually said that said that to me this afternoon.
Oy Vey.
So this afternoon was Sydney's cheer expo. All the teams from all the neighboring cities got together and had a 3 hour showcase of all the girls best moves. Adam made it to the event, I was supposed to get there but a church meeting ran long and I missed it. Bummer! But my sweet husband took lots of video so I could see it. (Love him!) It looked like it was tons of fun and Sydney did a super job. Best part is her new trophy. She was so excited to bring that home tonight. Oh and don't forget the end of the year team party. That we all got to and it was loud but lots of fun too.
I am happy that Sydney loves this sport. She feels connected to her team, her coaches and the dancing. Its in these moments I thank God for a sweet and hardworking husband, that puts our family first. He works incredibly hard and makes is possible for me to stay home, so I can be here to push through the homework and get her fed and her bags packed and get her out the door to these activities. If it weren't for Adam, Sydney would be in childcare everyday and missing out on all of this. Thank God for a husband who values our children over money and things.
He is so amazing.
So, cheer, its almost over. Two more games. We weren't going to do them, the plan was to be done after the expo but Sydney teared up and pleaded.
Cheer is in her blood.
How could we possibly say no?
