So trying to be close to my brother
Jimi's family is a challenge. I can't really say it any other way. Those of you close to me know what I am speaking of. No need to spell it out on my blog. So Adam and I just don't see that side of the family too often. Except for Sadie. Sadie is like another daughter to me, and I try to spend time with her whenever I can,
especially now that she is in her teenage years. Its not that we don't love each and every one of them, or that we wouldn't want to spend time with all of them. But its out of our control. Its just how it is. I don't like it, but I can't change it. So we sigh and just deal with it.
Nevertheless, when my brother was in the hospital I went to get the girls and what ended up happening was sort of a Christmas miracle. My mom got all her
grand babies together on Christmas.
So glad that my mom could enjoy all 5 of them together for awhile. The last time they were all together was when Jack was like 5 months old. He's a year and a half now. I think it really made the day special. Sad that it had to happen surrounded by a hospital visit, but thankful nevertheless for that special Christmas blessing.
