A Disney Day

So, although this Disney trip was planned and prepared for months ahead, it turned out to be an unusual day at the Magic Kingdom. The park was crowded, very crowded and the baby was fussy, very fussy and the combination of the two made for a tiring day for both Adam and me. Don't get me wrong, we had a great day but I missed sharing the joy of the day with Sydney...(she was off with Nana and Sadie bouncing between the two parks) and all the baby's grumpiness seemed to rub off on me and Adam by dinner time. We (me??) were short tempered with each other during the meal and to be honest, although we shook it off, the tainted mood seemed to linger for the rest of the evening. Bummer huh?
Oh well, lesson learned. No more Disney ON my Birthday, its just too darn close Christmas. The traffic is rough, the people are everywhere and its even though the Christmas excitement is in the air, so is the holiday "wound up" feeling. That feeling like you need to do it All Right NOW! The other lesson learned is that the age 18 months is a hard age for Disneyland if you don't live near or stay many days and take the park in pieces. I am looking forward to trying again next Christmas when Jack is 2 1/2. We already have the plan for going for 2 weekdays that way we can escape to the hotel for naps and regrouping. I think that will work much better!
So enjoy the pics...We got on 4 rides total and one broke down. We did enjoy our time at Disney, but it all can't be perfect, right?
Here is Jack kissing Mickey. Whoo Hoo! No tears
Ah...a semi smile while coloring
Posing for a picture in front of the Matterhorn
Our boy crashed out by 1015 am. He got up at 545 with the rest of us and was pooped!
