No Ordinary Love

Last night Adam and I got to go down to LA on a belated Anniversary date to see one of our favorite artists Toby Mac. For those of you who don't know Toby is a Christian singer, a phenomenal musician and songwriter who Adam introduced me to back when we were dating. Toby has a style and groove that is funk, hip hop, heavy metal, rock, gospel, rap and jazz blend that raises up our Lord to the highest. Adam and I have been loving his music forever, it really speaks to us and we are soo excited to finally see him live in concert. We scored floor seats for like $19.50 each and let me tell you Toby was close enough I could see his sweat. I LOVE IT! The concert was outstanding! Amazing. And Adam and I left uplifted and pumped and joyful and full of love and thanksgiving for our Savior. Toby said it best last night. He said something that independently Adam and I took to our hearts and it felt in our soul. And when chatted on our way home we were in awe that we both felt moved by the same thing Toby said.

He said our Lord has No Ordinary Love for us. It is God's Love. And no matter how far we may feel from God right now, in this very moment, whether we have strayed far from God (as I once did) or whether we just feel bogged down by life and its responsibilities and commitments and drama, that we are only one turn from God's extraordinary love. We don't have to sludge back thru all the stuff that has pulled us away from God, but that all we have to do is turn around right now, where we are and God will meet us there. Right here where we are. Cause His love ain't no ordinary love.

What an awesome precious gift God gave us in our Savior Jesus. What an extraordinary love He gives us now.

So thankful for my mom who suffered 12 hours with a crying Jack to let us go down to LA and back to catch this concert. She stayed up till 3 am with him, till we go get back to take him home. She and Abel are so awesome and we feel so blessed and thankful.
