Our Sweet Girl

What a beauty!

In honor of Sydney's half birthday coming next weekend

here are some tidbits about Sydney age 9 1/2:

Her favorite food continues to be white rice with lots and lots of soy sauce

Her passion right now is cheerleading, "Its in her blood!"

She still feels growing pains regularly and needs to soak in a hot bath often (I am jealous! Well, of the hot bath part!)

She is loving and kind (most of the time) to her baby brother

She has the skill of nodding along when you are talking to her but be thinking of something totally different in her own head.

She loves Taylor Swift right now

Her singing voice is really amazing and she is getting more and more confident singing in public

She drops her teeth like there's no tomorrow. She just lost a molar today!

She constantly is flipping on our living room floor. Cheering, rolling, leg lifts. Whatever!

She is neat at home but a mess at school. But she is also taking accountability for it and trying harder. (Whoo Hoo!)

She loves to leave little notes on her bathroom mirror in dry erase marker telling us how much she loves us

She is loyal and sweet to all of her friends

She NEVER gets her socks in her laundry basket. On the floor, in the corner, on tabletops. But in the laundry basket? Never!

Her kindness is continually manifested in her actions. She often can be found holding open doors, smiling brightly at people, and offering to help in anyway

She has an attraction to hiding right now, every time someone leaves the room. Scares to crud out of me often. I think that's her goal. :)

She has a new love of musicals. She memorized the Wicked soundtrack in two days.

She still pouts every time we ask her to clean her bathroom. :)

She is a natural negotiator. Bedtimes, play dates, chores. Always seeking a better deal. She is also a planner. She will take the initiative to do work ahead of time to be have a privilege later. (How awesome huh?)

Her favorite color changes every week. This time purple, next time blue. Funny!

She thinks its eternally summer. She will come out in a short sleeve shirt when its freezing outside. We constantly need to send her back to revise her clothing!

She is very good about starting her homework right away. She likes to be "Free" as soon as possible

She still wants to be a horse rider when she grows up

She is an excellent reader

She is a not so excellent dishwasher

She loves to giggle with her brother and kiss him all over

She has her Nana's hands and loves the fact that they share that!

She loves her cousin Sadie, but can't stand her sometimes too!

Her DS is one of her favorite past times.

She still loves to snuggle up with me (and I adore that! I hope it lasts forever!)

She has very pretty cursive writing (when she wants too! )

Her favorite animal is still a horse.

She stills loves her Goochy, after all these years. I think she may take him with her on her honeymoon!

She is naturally good spirited. Generally optimistic and cheerful. We like to be around her. She makes us happy!

She has the longest lashes! Lucky girl!

She leaves every light on in our house! UGH!

She is the most generous, loving and caring child we know.
