Well, our first event of the year for our Fellowship committee was last night. We hosted a soup and chowder cook off and silent dessert auction. And whew! It went well! Yippee! Two missions were benefited by the funds raised last night, The Heifer Project and The Good Samaritan Shelter. I was really happy to raise money for these two causes. They help so many people locally and globally who are struggling with hunger and poverty. They are amazing non profits and with the generous support of the congregation we were able to raise $287.00 for these missions. Isn't that awesome?Sydney and I entered a princess cake in the dessert silent auction. Here is a picture of Sydney and I with our "pink blob" as I called it. Funny looking huh?
And here is Sydney with her final creation! I think she turned out great!
