Just found out that Gary Coleman passed away today from a cerebral hemorrhage, same as my dad. I am saddened by the news. I liked Gary Coleman. As his character, Arnold Jackson on Diff'rent Strokes, he gave me countless giggles and smiles while I grew up. I can remember vividly making dinner with my dad in the kitchen when I was a kid, watching Diff'rent Strokes on the black and white T.V. with the rabbit ears that sat on the counter. I'd being peeling potatoes just cracking up at what Arnold and Willis and Kimberly were getting into.Such a shame at how none of those gifted child actors transitioned into adult well. Gary's adult troubles mirrored the vastness of his health troubles. It just makes me feel so badly. Such a shame.
But, for a moment right now, while I go about my business of household bills and budgets, I will pause and say thank you Gary. You made my childhood innocent and sweet, and for that I am truly grateful. God Bless you!
