Jack's Birthday Party

Last Friday was supposed to be Jack's 2nd Birthday Party. But our little guy was sick.
What a gigantic bummer!
But luckily we have some amazing friends who were a-ok with pushing Jack's birthday party back a week to the 25th! Yay! So yesterday we celebrated Jack's big day!

Here are the invites I sent out. Aren't they too too cute? We had our party at home this year. Just the gals from playgroup, a couple of close friends for Sydney's (and their moms!) and Jacks two grandmas. It was a super party and Jack was in a great party mood the whole time! Thanks goodness. His deposition was sunny but the weather wasn't. At least at the beginning. But towards the end it started to warm up and I think everyone had a great time. Here's the picture recap...

Our sign for the front door. Cute eh'?
This was actually taken after his party when he was having a great time with his balloons. I love this picture. Its just too cute!
The Nana pictures. Aren't they just adorable. Nana came over early to help out with the set up but mostly I needed her just to cuddle the kids while I took a shower. Jack was in a great mood then too! He even smiled for the camera.
And sissy looks lovely too!

The party food. Turkey roll ups, Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets, fruit kabobs, Mom's famous macaroni salad, veggie sticks and string cheese. The basic toddler spread! And don't you love our drink dispenser? Costco score! Yay!
Jack's Birthday Banner!
Ahhhh...still cloudy at 10 am.
Sweet Grandma Lindie came. Whoo hoo.
Love this picture of her enjoying herself.

Mommy chatting
Some of the kids in the "Man Cave" or Jack's new playhouse.
The Man Cave is what the gals nicknamed it. Funny huh?
Cupcake time!
Singing the Birthday Song

So I thought green cupcakes would be cute and match our caterpillar theme. What I failed to think of was just how much it would dye our little kids hand and faces. Boy oh Boy did we have green dye everywhere!
Our little hulk!
Jack's little friend Cara Mia really loved her cupcake!
Sydney and her friend Katie did a felt board story for the kids. We read the Hungry Little Caterpillar and put up the felt food. It was soooo cute!
And Jack had a great time with
his balloons when the party was over.
He rec'd some wonderful gifts. Bowling sets, race cars, outside toys and chairs. But more importantly we shared the day with wonderful friends. 2nd Birthday a total success!
We are all already looking forward to next year!
