Sydney's Real Birthday...the big 10!

Ahhhh....the real birthday finally arrived.

Sydney turned the big 10 today!

I took these great pictures of my girl as we were leaving to go on a family bike ride today. It was a glorious day here, sunny with a high of 75 and we decided to make the most of it. Earlier in the spring we purchased bikes for me and Adam and a trailer for Jack. Adam was awesome and built my bike first but his was still in the box. Last night we knew Sydney would love a family bike ride, so Adam built the bike and the trailer after she went to bed to surprise her. Bless his heart he was up till 1 am building those things. But Sydney was so surprised and excited to go!

As we were waiting for Adam, I snapped these pictures in the front yard. Isn't she so pretty? On the inside and out!

So, I thought we were going on quick family ride. Maybe thru our neighborhood and the one next door, but Sydney and Adam had different plans. We did go thru those two neighborhoods but they wanted to keep on going! So we did! And our trip ended up being 5 miles! It was really fun but really tiring too. But totally worth it!

Whew! When we arrived back we were pooped. But no rest for the weary because Grandma and Grandpa were on their way over for some pizza fun! Here is Nana pushing the kids on the swings

That was a very generous gift from Nana and Grandpa, and just in time. We are going to the store on Thursday, on our first day of our summer mini vacation!


Sydney rec'd a new doll bed for her Julie doll from us. She was really surprised by that as well.
Adam put that bed together in a jiffy! Well done.
And Julie looks so comfy in her new digs.

***P.s. When you watch the video, check out the size of that cake. My mom got it at Costco. It feeds 48 and there were 6 of us here tonight. :) My mom is too cute. We are sharing the cake with our neighbors and Adam's co-workers!

***P.s.s. As I finish this post, I am listening to Adam get Jack ready for bed. Sydney crashed on the chair in the living room at 8 pm. Must have been all the bike riding. He He. In the bedroom right now, Adam and Jack are singing Jesus Loves Me. Its the sweetest thing ever.

Love those two with all my soul. They just melt my heart.

And that sweet birthday gal is pretty special too. I am blessed.
