Open House

Last night was Sydney's open house at school. The best school event if you ask me. Love open house and the way Sydney's gets to be a tour guide of her classroom. Sydney was excited about it all day, but around 5 started to say she felt queasy and funky. Adam and I tried to persuade her into staying home but there was no convincing that girl. Well, right when we got to the school Sydney was sick. Icky sick. Knives in the stomach sick.
Poor baby.
But a little pain in her stomach would not deter this gal. She told me she desperately wanted to show us her stuff. So she put on a happy face, shouldered up and went in.
Now before you get all PC on me, we did disinfect her and her hands. And we didn't let her touch anything and we were in and out of that room in 4 minutes. It was the fastest open house ever!
Anyhow, here are the highlights of her classroom. She really did have a great year.

Update: Sydney was sick all night. But she is so grown up about it all now. No more crying and freaking out. Just resting and trusting her body is on the mend. She really is growing up so fast.

Now, join me in saying a prayer this is a 24 hr bug. She has a pool party tomorrow and she is desperate not to miss it. She already missed an awards assembly this morning. Stomach bugs just stink!
