This year we thought it would be nice to leave a poinsettia and some gingerbread cookies. We rec'd a poinsettia last week and I love it. So I thought we could pass on the love. After church we dived right into making cookies. Sydney made the first batch with me. She did a great job mixing and rolling and cutting out her men. She made it look super easy!

Later Adam decided to join in on the fun. He mixed and rolled and cookie cuttered the next batch. Not bad! He really enjoyed it, but I was so anxious while he cut them out. The engineer in him came out and and he had to be exactly precise with the dough. Oy vey. I wanted to yell, "Just CUT THEM!!!" but I didn't. I held my tongue. Aren't you proud of me? Everyone has their own way of doing it. And his way was perfect for him.He was having fun. I think I was just cranky because I had a headache. But I didn't say a word and I thank God for that. Adam really enjoyed himself. And lemme tell you, he was one proud papa of his cookies. Funny.
**So busy he wouldn't look at the camera. Can you feel his concentration?!? Hee Hee**
Later in the evening after the open house, Sydney and I started decorating the cookies. She did a great job. She is very creative with her designs.
Didn't they turn out cute?
Love them!
After we assembled the cookies to give our neighbors, the decorating turned into a free for all. Jack had just finished his breathing treatment, so it was perfect timing for him to join in on the fun. He really liked frosting and eating the candies. Quite the cookie decorator if you ask me. They both are!

I don't know how I missed so many posts...
I'm so glad your mom's cancer didn't spread. I hope that the treatment will be as tolerable as can be and that she'll be comfortable and healthy soon.
All of the Christmas things are so cheerful. So kind and fun for you to jingle the neighbors.
